Building Peace in Beaver County: A 40-Year Legacy

Introduction to Beaver County Peace Links

Beaver County Peace Links (BCPL) has been a cornerstone of community activism for over four decades. Founded in 1982, our organization emerged as a response to the growing need for anti-war efforts and has since evolved into a significant force for peace and justice in Western Pennsylvania. Our mission remains clear: we aim to foster awareness about the complex costs of war and advocate for a more peaceful future for all.

Weekly Peace Vigils and Community Engagement

Every Saturday from 1 to 2 p.m., BCPL hosts a peace vigil outside the Beaver County Courthouse or at the Ambridge Veterans Memorial. These gatherings serve as peaceful demonstrations where community members can unite to stand against violence and express their desire for a safer world. Whether you bring your own sign or use one provided by us, your presence contributes to a collective voice calling for change.

Educational Initiatives and Political Action

Education is a vital part of our work at Beaver County Peace Links. We organize documentary screenings, host engaging speakers, and create forums for discussion to enlighten our community about the profound impacts of U.S. policies, both domestically and abroad. Our goal is to mobilize citizens to engage with local representatives and support progressive initiatives that align with our vision of a just society.

If you resonate with our mission of building a safer world, we invite you to join us in our efforts. Together, we can work towards peace and justice, making a real difference in the lives of those who need it the most.
